Aprendiendo Ingles...
Traduciendo las canciones de Los Beatles, me ayudo mucho con aprender Ingles.
Me sabia las canciones de memoria, pero no el significado.
Asi me sente con el diccionario a traducir palabra por palabra y pronto podia cantar las canciones con enfasis, con sentimiento, estaba totalmente sumergida en las historias.
Los Beatles crecieron de las canciones simples, a canciones con sentido profundo.. y to los ame mas todavia!!
Translating the Beatles songs helped me a lot with my English.
I knew the songs by heart, but not the meaning.
So I sat with the dicctionary and translated word by word and soon I could sing the songs with enphasis, with sentiment, I was totally submerged in the stories.
The Beatles grew from simple songs to songs of deep meaning and ...I loved them even more!!!

Mi cumpleanos..
Cuando cumpli 13 mi mama me dio una fiesta, hot dogs, fanta, torta de pina y yo feliz! Llegue del colegio y habia una bicicleta dorada esperandome en el jardin, con luz, parrilla, y canastita, regalo de mi querido Tata.
Parti a dar vueltas por la manzana, con mi radio a pilas tocando los Beatles en la canastita a mostrar la bicicleta nueva a mis amigas!!
Llegaron los invitados, y sabiendome beatlemaniaca, me regalaron discos, fotos, y una bufanda igual a la de George!
Bailamos y cantamos las canciones de los Beatles hasta tarde, y yo me dormi con la bufanda y una sonrisa!
When I turned 13 mom gave me a party, hot dogs, fanta, pineapple cake and I was happy!
I arrived from school to find a golden bike waiting for me in the garden, with light, sitting grill. and basket, a gift from my loving Tata.
I went around the block, with my radio in the basket, listening to the Beatles to show the new bike to my girlfriends!
The guests arrived, and knowing me a beatlemaniac, I got records, pictures, and a scarf just like George's!!
We danced and sang Beatles songs until late and I went to sleep with the scarf on and a smile!!
Al rotativo...
En la casa de mis abuelos, habia una terraza que daba al jardin.
Alli me sentaba con mi radio a pilas y mis cuadernos, los fines de semana cuando los iba a visitar.
Mi abuela poca bola me daba con Los Beatles, pero mi abuelo era paleta.
En las tardes de Domingo despues de misa, mi abuela dormia siesta, pero mi abuelo y yo nos ibamos al rotativo.
Mientras yo gritaba junto al resto de las ninas en el teatro, mi abuelo dormia en la butaca, y yo me veia la pelicula de los Beatles una y otra vez!!!
My grandparents home had a terrace looking at the backyard garden, there I sat on weekends when I visited them, with my am fm radio and my note books.
My grandma did not care much about The Beatles, but my grandpa was great!!
On Sundays afternoon, after mass, grandma slept siesta, but grandpa and I went to the movies, and while I screamed along the rest of the girls in the theater, grandpa slept on his seat, and I saw the Beatles movie over and over!!!
Una manana...
Era hora de vestirme, tomar desayuno, arreglar el bolson y partir al colegio..pero yo estaba
sentada a la orilla de mi cama, todavia en pijamas contemplando la pared y mis fotos adoradas...
Paso mi mama por el pasillo, asomo la cabeza en mi pieza y grito...Apurate y vistete!!
Y yo...di un brinco, me cai de espaldas, di una vuelta de carnero y me pegue en la cabeza con la esquina del velador....
Chao Pachi....
Asi fue como mi primer trauma encefalo craneano se lo debo a Los Beatles!
It was time to get dressed, have breakfast, fix my backpack and go to school...
but I was sitting on the edge of my bed, still in my pijamas contemplating my wall with my adored photographs..
My mom walked down the hall, peeked on my bedroom and screamed...Hurry up and get dressed!!
I jumped, did a backflip and landed on my head against the night table corner...
Goodbye Pachi....
And that is how my first trauma and knock out was thanks to The Beatles!!

Debo haber tenido 12 anos y habia decorado la pared junto a mi cama con recortes y fotos de" Los Beatles "
Estaba enamorada de George Harrison y me pasaba toda las horas en que hacia tareas, escuchandolos.
Tenia unos cuadernos llenos de recortes y poemas, corazones con mi nombre y el de George...
Llamaba a diario a la radio Chilena, y le pedia a Pablo Aguilera que me tocara alguna cancion de Los Beatles, y el amorosamente lo hacia y yo chillaba feliz por mi pieza cantando a grito pelado, en mi Ingles peculiar de entonces..
I was perhaps 12 years old then and I had decorated my bedroom wall with pictures and magazine cuts of "The Beatles"
I was in love with George Harrison and spent the hours doing homework listening to their songs.
I had some notebooks filled with newspapers articles, poems and hearts with my name and George's.
I called daily to the La Chilena radio station and requested to Pablo Aguilera de dj to please play one of their songs and he lovingly played them, and I will yell happily aound my bedroom singing at the top of my lungs, in my peculiar English ...
